Year 5 Sirius Technology Day





Today some Year 5 children went to Sirius Academy North for a Technology Day, the children had three different activities consisting of: designing and making a parachute to transport an egg, making paper aeroplanes (then racing them) and learning about different types of reactions that happen in cooking. All the children had a fantastic day and learnt lots about technology.

British Art Project




Year 5 had the opportunity to work with local artist Peter Swidrak. They used modelling clay to create their profiled pictures of different famous landmarks. Great fun!

Shakespeare rocks...and so do Year 5!

A huge congratulations to both Year 5 classes this week for their fabulous performances of Macbeth at the University of Hull, as part of the Shakespeare Schools Festival.  You were all truly amazing!

Celebrating our uniqueness!

To begin our anti-bullying week, phase 4 had an assembly to think about how fantastic it is to be unique. Mr Holliday had something very unique in his box...it was different when each child looked inside. Can you guess what it was?

5H Dress Rehearsal


5H had their dress rehearsal today to half of the school, it was fantastic and all the children had a great time wearing their costumes and speaking the Shakespearean language. Only two more days left till our performance. Very excited!!

Maths fun!





We had fun with chalks, multiplying and dividing by 10 and 100 and setting challenges for our friends to solve.

Anti-Bullying

Next week, 13th-17th November is Anti-Bullying week and years 5 and 6 will be celebrating how we are all unique and all equal. We will celebrate this through lessons and an assembly. Children are encouraged to wear odd socks to express themselves and appreciate individuality and uniqueness.
                                    

Year 6 PE - Fun Fitness


 This afternoon Year 6 took part in circuit training to improve their fitness. Great effort shown by all children! Well done!
